They said they could not supply that address I assumed that they had to have some equipment of some sort in the cabinet.

Well if they can supply any FTTC on that exchange, that means their database is not keeping up with the game. In a week it may be. Or even at the start of the month, if they only do a monthly catchup.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - AAISP Home::1 80/20. 200GB. Sync 70512/13708Kbps @ 600m. BQMs - IPv4 & IPv6

I shall keep an eye as to when Vodafone can supply that address although my daughter may order with BT as they are BT customers anyway.

See page 156 onwards of this document to see cancellation charges.

You need to check for which package they are on but for BT Broadband, line rental with weeekend calls it would be £20.50 per month so just over £180 for the 9 months left.

As others have said if you upgrade with BT then they don't normally charge but if you leave BT to go to another ISP then they will.

Thanks Ian that is very useful.
Apart from the Early Termination Charges I also notice that there is a charge for the HUB which is a minimum of £65 which when added together one would be very desperate to leaving BT with months left on the minimum contract instead of just being patient and wait for the minimum contract to run its course.

My daughter and her fianc have decided to upgrade their BT package to FTTC rather than switch.
They live in Butlers Close which is served by Easton Exchange Bristol cabinet 43 and she has today Monday 30 April ordered upgrade to FTTC and was told she will be connected in 7 to 10 days time.
