Distance from PCP ISP says 1045m, BTOR test 1060m.
So where did the 120m come from?
In reply to a post by diputs36:
Copper Line:
DP Line Length Estimate: 2725 Metres
DN Line Length Estimate: 2818 Metres

2818-2725 = 93 cannot be to anywhere near me, as later test on fibre indicates PCP to premises is ~1000m.
From what I am informed is my DP is according to Google Maps about 120m.
Have you moved house since 7 May?

Also "For domestic convenience it'd be better the base and slave were exchanged". Do you mean it would be better now to swap them back, which is what that says, or do you mean "it was better", which is why you had it done?

@RobertoS. You got that 120m from another thread unrelated to this one. I thought it was clear 120m was the Google Maps as near as I could get it from the DP to my house. I have lived here since June 2002.

Base station. It was a passing remark! having the base unit connected to the current master may be good practice, but I and wife can sometimes not notice a voice message, when we return home. The base being in by the door was noticed. That's all!

Ah, I was confusing base and slave with master and extension/slave sockets. My apologies.

There is no problem at all in moving the phone base station downstairs and putting the slave upstairs on the master socket. It will pick up the call and record etc. just as normal.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - AAISP Home::1 80/20. 200GB. Sync 70370/12780Kbps @ 600m. BQMs - IPv4 & IPv6

Error stats are ok and speeds seem OK for the attenuation and line length

FEC are actually errors corrected, so usually not a problem

FECs were only included because they were there. I do disregard unless horrific.
