20CN Exchanges

Does anyone know if the 20CN exchanges, EO or otherwise, still in use will be upgraded to 21CN status to give the option of ADSL2 and ADSL2+ in the not too distant future or does work on fibre installation have the priority?

BTWholesale are upgrading all 20C exchanges to WBC at present, some of the harder exchanges are taking longer.
The vast majorly should be done this year, with the complex sites running into next year.

40 a week, it's very impressive really!

Thanks for that as it slipped my mind that BTw would be doing the upgrades, fibre installation would have no effect on it's progress.

15 years since project start...still not complete.

But there was a long period where BT Wholesale were doing very little exchange upgrades to 21CN/WBC - I imagine nationwide FTTC rollout was a higher priority during that period. Its only in the last year or two BT Wholesale decided to upgrade the remaining 20CN exchanges en-masse.

BTwholesale ADSL checker been showing my exchange due for upgrade in a rolling months time since last august.
It won't be much of an improvement, boost of upload most useful, but will take what I can get with the absence of fttc/fttp availability.
