Thanks for all the replies everyone, sorry for not coming back sooner.

There�s no chance she can use WhatsApp.

I�ll have a look at the post office after I�ve called talktalk to try and get a deal.

One thing I�m considering is seeing if our relatives have Alexa devices.

I think an echo dot with its calling features could be an easy way for a pensioner to connect with someone.
