Hi,
We have a commercial Site that's on an EO line to the chesterfield exchange and gets 12/1 down/up on ADSL, the road its on (Stonegravels Lane) has an FTTC cabinet (cab 26) about 180m away from site with Telegraph poles near by that feed the site its self. The cabinet serves Sheffield Road.
we did order a new FTTC line from Zen who checked and confirmed VDSL was available at speeds you would expect being next to the cabinet, hoping that the new line would be run from the cabinet rather than a new EO connection but when the line was installed the VDSL order was canceled on openreaches system the same day. The PTSN line went in fine but is connected as EO when you plug the number into DSL checker.
We asked Zen about it and they happily canceled the charges due to not being able to supply a the quoted service, at the time we asked if they could arrange a quote for a line rearrangement but no one there knew of a way to do it.
Whats the best route for contacting Openreach about getting a rearrangement quote? and does anyone know of any instances where its occured outside of BDUK or Fibre First. We're quite happy to pay several thousand as the site doesn't justify a leased line's ongoing costs but would benefit hugely from FTTC, Especially on the upload. Virgin are on Sheffield road but don't go onto Stone gravels lane unfortunately.
Thanks.
