Am I being paranoid?

[link to this post]

For the last six months or more my FTTC has synced Rock Solid at 70/20, Always, no change, 70/20, full stop.

Now my contact is up, two weeks ago, I started to investigate switching services.

So, on my travels to get quotes and estimated speeds, entering that particular phone number etc. I have always had quotes of up to 66 or 67 Mbp/s.No problem with that, as they now have to do a more accurate mean or average speed etc...

From that day onward, my current sync has been slowing falling a little Tiny bit every day, day by day from 70/20 to a now 67.7/20 currently.

It's slowly sliding down, and i'm awaiting for it to settle yet still.

Has this happened because I have investigated what service are available, of which the estimates are less than what I am already getting are available? OR Is my current ISP slowing down?

P.S. Otherwise, I just done the maths and I could be down to 7 Mbps when the Brexit negotiations are over...

The problem with FTTC, in its current form, is that the more popular it becomes the slower speed people will get on the cabinet.

I started at about 78/20 and now I'm at 54/16.

Its the cross talk causing it.

G.Fast for example really suffers due to the higher signal frequencies involved.

Its my opinion but the dislike of the DLM system and people wanting theirs reset all the time has delayed or even halted the implementation of vectoring. That's why Openreach have now moved focus to FTTP.

AIUI vectoring is mandatory in G.Fast implementations. Its part of the specification.

Connection - Three 4G, tbb tests normally 35-45Mpbs down, 65Mbps off-peak, 9-24 up.
