Well, to me, unless I am being paranoid, there is a Gremlin in the works.

Maybe the Gremlin is set work if you are looking to change to a another provider that has a lower estimate than you already have........

I've checked with my alter ego, but she's not sure frown

It would be pretty silly for a company to slow down people just before they are eligible to leave, and for what ends?

Like people above have said it could be cross talk. But, it also could be the weather, it could have been a power interruption, it could be a firmware upgrade, or it could just be the usual fluctuations when re-syncing.

This is an openreach gremlin... I heard this strange noise last week and he was putting his ladders on the top of his Transit van...

You've lost 2.2 mbps and how is that impacting on your day to day internet use?

edit: to clarify - only 3% reduction in a fast connection.

Was Eclipse Home Option 1, VM 2Mb & O2 Standard
Now Utility Warehouse (up to 16mbps) via Talk Talk

It's all relative.

If I lost 2.2Mbps it would be a problem, I've only got 1.8 to start with. laugh

None at all smile

It's just strange that it started to drop the day after I started enquiring online to switch & being given quotes of up to 67 on this line. It was at a rock solid 70 since Easter before that.
It has now settled at 67 and stopped dropping.
Seems a bit of a coincidence.

P.S.

So it makes me wonder, would it of stayed at 70 if I hadn't made online enquiries about switching.
