I decided to go for the 500 package. I will review after the contract ends and they up the price. Installation set four weeks hence.

I feel the same as you to be honest, if FTTP ever came here, would I need it? I certainly don't require the speed, reliability yes, that is ok, saying that It is fine here now.

Price is the problem, i would not pay £50 a month for something I do not need and to be honest I really would not want to go with BT.

I can understand why you had second thoughts. But since you have gone with it, I hope it all goes well for you.

As others have pointed out I could have gone for a slower FTTH connection and ended up paying the same price as I do with Plusnet FTTC. That said +net did offer to drastically reduce my BB cost though.
Instead the advantages of a none wire line swung me.

AIUI native FTTP is the same price as the equivalent speeds of FTTC, but frequently a much better user experience. The expensive speeds are not available on FTTC.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, sites and mail hosting - Tsohost & Ionos.
Connection - Three B311 4G, tbb tests normally 35-45Mpbs down, 65Mbps off-peak, 9-24 up. 1+ 8 Pro max 80Mbps down, 24Mbps up.
