I'll PM you the service address of the line.

There's clearly something awry, that cabinet was upgraded in March though so you could be on to something.

Just to give an update we're still none the wiser.

They've now conceded that the fault is between the cabinet and the property. Someone was supposed to go down and fix it today but it didn't happen.

Talk of Opeareach closing the order down now as FTTC is not available at the address, despite the fact it is. Still no engineer report from this morning, Sky saying I might need to re-order again and face another two week wait when the whole charade might begin again.

All depends on what the engineer report says. Feels like there's not much will for Openreach to actually connect me up.

Latest is that Sky have now escalated it with Openreach who now claim a new go live date of 26th August and it will certainly not be missed and there will be no further problems.

Honestly however I am not holding my breath.

My skepticism proved to be right!

So engineer has just called me and told me that he's done the upgrade and to plug in my new router. I don't have a new router, since my existing one is already compatible, I took his word for it.

The previous DSL connection is still active and has not gone down so I doubt he has actually changed anything unless he has done the wrong line by mistake. Not a good sign I thought.

Just for kicks I've took the router out and replugged it in and sure enough it's syncing at exactly the same rate as it was before so it seems nothing has been done despite claims to the contrary.

So around and around we go again and Sky have to log another ticket with Openreach as they confirm that I am not connecting via Fibre and am still coming through ADSL2+.

At this stage I'm seriously thinking of making a complaint about Openreach as this farce has been going on most of the month at this stage with the constant delays faults, alleged faults and problems.
