Options HELP

Ok, so my exchange in Glasgow does not have Fibre available and the speeds are dire. EVERY other BT exchange in about 30 miles has it done.

Been trying to get Open Reach to sort along with many locals but they do not want to know. Via the Scottish Govt I can request a £5k voucher to enable a provider to install and you can use neighbours to add to it so if 50 people request that is 250k BUT Open Reach is not there.

What are my options? I am in the middle of Glasgow and not stuck out in the sticks

The fibre component of FTTC and FTTP may not come from your local exchange.

Sounds like Exchange Only Line See some near Bell Exchange are EO. Any alnets available to you? Hyperoptic have some availability around the city centre. Otherwise 5G broadband maybe an idea.

Which exchange are you on? Are CityFibre coming your way?

Are you in an apartment building? Are your neighbours up for going dibs on upgrading/sharing the rental cost?

If so. Get quotes for a gig on gig leased line, a decent managed switch, fibre in, run a Cat5e/6 cable to each apartment.
