what is it and do i need it turned on for a FTTC

I have seen your other posts and what is confusing me is, you say the line was dormant and you have ordered fibre (I take that to mean FTTC not FTTP) so why is your broadband service showing as ADSL 2+? are you saying that you was put on ADSL 2+ for 24 hours prior to going onto fibre (FTTC)?

before the line was dormant for around 3.5 - 4 years it was last on plusnet fibre

yes it is FTTC

that is what the agent said this morning,which i found odd tbh

tbb results i chose shell in the drop-down and it defaulted back to talktalk, i guess that is due to being on talktalks network...??

So you could easily move up to an 80/20 package and hit full speed too.
