Interesting to see what happens when Wales play at 19:00.

You had a build up around 13:00 ... my BT service had a real slow patch from just before 13:00 to 15:15 which tied in with the England match.

I would guess that it was being stream by a massive number of viewers.
The large increase doesn't line up with the footie and anyway my backhaul is Zen not BT (although Zen has had its troubles recently frown ).

There might have been a millisecond or two that I can blame on the World Cup, I'm happy that the rest is down to me.

I'm also on IDNet FTTC. Much worse for me than you... no idea what backhaul I'm on though.

Are you sure ... The football kicked off at 13:00 which is just after yours ramped up the same as mine ... https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/... if it is not football what were you doing?

It does look as though someone make a routing changing after a while which cleared yours.

I thought all IDNet customers were on Zen these days, but could easily be wrong- it may just be all new ones and those who were there anyway. You'd have to ask support.

Like I said- streaming. Up to 3 HD channels simultaneously, and it looked just as I'd expect it to from experience.

I think it's supported by the sudden drop- within the resolution you can get from a BQM it aligns exactly with when I stopped (lunch was calling smile ).

It's a bit concerning if that's how TalkTalk's network reacts to such an event. Here's a TTB graph:

Here's an Exponential-e leased line:

My TTB graph - not as bad as the one in your post.

Virtual1 EAD. Packet loss a bit worrying. Connection however seemed fine. VPN tunnels were all good.

I'm on IDNet FTTC on a BTw backhaul.

Mine is only showing degradation in line with use today.
