IP Profile

[link to this post]

Hey all

Does anyone know how to obtain the IP Profile? I used to use https://windows.mouselike.org/be/index.asp?DoAction=... but that site seems to be decommissioned now.

I switched over to using the BT Wholesale speed test but I can't seem to find the IP profile anywhere on there either now.

Anyone else got a way of finding out what the IP profile is?

TIA

to access ip profile you have to use BTw speedtest here https://speedtest.btwholesale.com and when it done and click Additional Diagnostic and put your phone number in (if you got WLR on it) but if you got SoGEA then you have to ask your ISP for Access Line ID

BTw stated:

Q7. Do I always need to enter a Broadband Service ID?

A7. You can use the Telephone Number (directory number or DN) for traditional Broadband services provided over copper including ADSL, FTTC VDSL & G.fast. If you have problems using the Telephone Number please contact your Broadband provider to request your Broadband Service ID.

Q8. What is an Access line ID or ALID?

A8. This is a unique identifier for Single order Broadband products. Your Broadband provider should give this to you.

I've done that (inputting in phone number) but I can't see the IP profile listed on the page after anywhere? Am I missing something?

I just ran the BTw speedtest and can see IP Profile on my Sogfast 160/30. I just use my BBEU on it. Because there is no phone number anymore.

If you getting 38 down or 74 down depend what your FTTC product eg: 40/10 or 80/20 then don't need to check ip profile.

I am not getting those speeds, hence the check to view the IP Profile set smile

Interesting that testing my TalkTalk connection on the BT speed tester gives the expected download speed, but a vastly inflated upload speed, one test was nearly three times the expected speed.
