Fixed.. you need to use PRE tags in square brackets (and /PRE to end) for fixed width text smile

So the thing here is that you see high loss from hops 2, 3 and 5 however nothing from later hops.. this would suggest there isn't a problem going on...
What I don't quite get is why the 'sent' count varies on those tops.. Rcvd makes sense..

Was this when you were experiencing BQM red packetloss? If so I'm wondering if it's a specific Virgin route..

By MTR you mean the MTR utility? I have a traceroute function on my router but this program seems to route periodically so it might be useful to keep on when looking for an outage so the difference is recorded automatically. Thanks smile


Sorry forgot to reply on this - MTR is just a tool that does a traceroute continuously rather than just once so it provides results which asre more useful.
You'd need to do it during an outage. There's probably no automated easy solution to do it from your computer that I can think of unless some tool has that feature but I don't know of any.

Oddly no serious issues today at all so no red packet loss. Also if you want more info here is my VM community post with more router logs, apparently my connection is unhealthy frown

					Do we know if those are 'current' or accumulated stats? i.e. are they counters you can clear?

Seems a bit odd to keep seeing some issues sometimes..

					I am no longer on VM so I cant remember, but I am pretty sure there is no manual way to clear them, they do get reset on a power cycle, but I dont remember if they get reset if the modem has to initialise the connection again.



There is a log page in the modem UI as well, so that can be used to see the time and date of T3 timeouts.  I think it will only log if there is a batch of them not just single incidents.

					I really don't know, I just posted updated stats from today and the T3 count is totally different and spread across different channels to yesterday, have a look!



Also internet is better so far today maybe it is the temperature?? Still having issues but mostly big ping spikes not full long outages.

					Someone in your local area is intermittently and probably unwittingly blasting noise into your local network. The outages are when they are obliterating your return path
