Digi UK

[link to this post]

Hi, I had a flyer through the door offering 2.5GB for £20 and 10GB for £25; it had a QR code for the sales rep but was a bit sus as I've never heard of them.

https://www.digi.uk/en/internet

The website doesnt look too professional and the company code on the website points to Fiber One Ltd.

Anyone got experience of them? The offer seems too good to be true.

Thanks

I am a Digi customer now. Ordered on Wednesday night and went live on the following Friday morning.
Early impressions.... impressed and well worth the £15 for a 31 day contract, so can be easily cancelled and cheap to trial for a month.
Currently using Digi alongside my other ISP (Aquiss) on a Xiaomi BE6500 router with dual WAN capability. Using Digi as primary provider on router with Aquiss kicking in if it fails.

How are you finding the speeds, are they as good as Aquiss or poorer? Was your own router easy to configure?

Hi, I have had them now for a week and the speeds so far are good.

I am on the 10G package and see speeds of 8.53 down and up. It could do a bit faster but limited as I have my own eero router which I have found cant quite handle the full speed.

One issue I have found is that currently some sites see me as in Romania due to the company been based in Romania. That should fix its self over time hopefully as the IPs show as registered London UK.

One thing to also be aware of is that they use CGNat (for IPV4) and IPV6.

You're getting the maximum you're going to get regardless of your router so don't upgrade it.

NAT on IPv6? Or are you saying CGNAT on IPv4, and they also have IPv6?

Do you know the prefix size they allocate for IPv6, and what costs are to get a public v4?

CGNAT is on IPV4. You get a /64 public IPV6 block assigned to your router.

They have advised me they don’t offer public IPV4 IPs.

Speeds are 910/510 so the upload is down but better than the 115 up from Aquiss.
The Xiaomi BE6500 was not the easiest to set up because it was/is exclusively for the Chinese market and my Chinese is not the best! 😁
It is a PPPoE connection so is easy to set up with the username and password.
I am also having the issue with ITVX, Channel 4 & 5 stating that I am trying to access their service outside of the UK.
