Lol I just used your adapters drivers to solve my own dilemma. ^^ thought I had seen st121g somewhere before, oh well it works for x64 vista on my usr5422 that didn't have *any* 64bit drivers lol.

I have just had one of my customers complaining about a constant reboot cycle.
His is a Dell e520 running XP MCE. It has SP3 and is fully patched.

Running the PC at my house it boots up and connects to my router without any issues. Back to customer's house and I get constant reboot cycle again.
I have diagnosed it to the SpeedTouch 121g. If I start the PC it disconnected it boots fine, as soon as I plug in the SpeedTouch 121g to any USB port. It's led flashes a couple of time before the crash. If I do the same at my house it connects to my network straight away.

I got it up once (without crashing) and there are shed load of wireless network SSIDs (10+) being broadcast near his house. The are any a few (2-3) near my house, therefore I conclude that the SpeedTouch 121g can't cope when there are lots of networks in the neigbourhood.

I know it is also related to one of the latest security patches as the PC worked for a few days after being re-built ie when it just had SP3 on it.

Back in March I found something strange. I saw TWO networks with the same SSID and two different mac addresses :-

SSID "WASC-0010c6c2a6a9-PHILIPS" MAC "02:00:2D:81:4D:EA"
SSID "WASC-0010c6c2a6a9-PHILIPS" MAC "02:00:2C:81:4D:EA"

I am wondering if it is is this device which in combination with SpeedTouch 121g and the latest patches causes the issues.

Can anyone tell me what the device is by the characteristics of the above.

I have recomended he use a couple of power line adapters as it's a desktop PC and wireless connection is not needed.
