your link doesn't take me to anything in particular - what's the make and model of the machine you're looking at?

That seems fine for what you want to use it, remember that if you do need to upgrade the pc in the future you are limited due to its case size)

I have found in the past space saving pcs next to impossible to upgrade due to space. But to be fair all i can see you potentially needing to upgrade is .. the graphics card (or currently lack of ) ..

I see. So long as it is a good machine and not going to start falling apart iin a few months time and also be able to do the job that will be fine.

Yep, computers ususally don't fall apart. But yeah am just more saying the limitations of a space saver pc than anything else smile as long as your aware of that - thats fine smile

Hi, for the little extra in price and still within your budget, my choice would be the HP Pavilion p6205uk Desktop PC with 20" HP monitor.

http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/product/539750

3GB DDR3 memory

1TB hard drive

It also looks to have a larger case, so more room for upgrade in the future.

Hewlett-Packard is the largest manufacturer of computers in the world, Acer is the second largest.

Is the Acer processor not better than the HP?

Hi, yes! The Athlon does look the better processor; they are both budget priced processors.

AMD Athlon II X3 Triple-Core processor (2.70GHz, 1.5MB Cache)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002T8QTEW/ref=asc_df_B00...

Intel Celeron Dual-Core E3200 processor (2.4GHz, 1MB Cache)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002N3F7NC/ref=asc_df_B00...

Try to find the motherboard Specifications... http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=...

I would want DDR3 memory with motherboard FSB 1333/1066/800 MHz speed capabilities.

Yeah, but that was pretty close. All you'd need to do was chuck the HD and DVD in and install 7. And it'd be worth it for the extra spec.
