In reply to a post by E7er:
Hi, for the little extra in price and still within your budget, my choice would be the HP Pavilion p6205uk Desktop PC with 20" HP monitor.

3GB DDR3 memory

1TB hard drive

It also looks to have a larger case, so more room for upgrade in the future.

Hewlett-Packard is the largest manufacturer of computers in the world, Acer is the second largest.

Is the Acer processor not better than the HP?

Hi, yes! The Athlon does look the better processor; they are both budget priced processors.

AMD Athlon II X3 Triple-Core processor (2.70GHz, 1.5MB Cache)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002T8QTEW/ref=asc_df_B00...

Intel Celeron Dual-Core E3200 processor (2.4GHz, 1MB Cache)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002N3F7NC/ref=asc_df_B00...

Try to find the motherboard Specifications... http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=...

I would want DDR3 memory with motherboard FSB 1333/1066/800 MHz speed capabilities.

Yeah, but that was pretty close. All you'd need to do was chuck the HD and DVD in and install 7. And it'd be worth it for the extra spec.
