Epson Stylus SX600FW print quality problem

I have had this printer for almost a year now and it has been great but for a couple days now the print quality has gone bad. Even if it is from fax, scanner or PC, it prints with a whit band or lines in the document or picture. I am curious to know the cause and solution. Any tips or help out there...................................

u connecte with usb or a parallel cable? if paralell then it could be the cable, if usb then it is likely dried ink in the jet. Epsons are notoriously hard to clean once this happens. try printing a full black webpage, the driver's head clean page might not be trying long enough. U can get an epson cleaning cartridge which will contain acetone or something which could disolve the ink. All the DIY methods for doing this are hard with epsons as you can't easily remove the printheads to soak them
