PSU for Core 2 Duo

[link to this post]

Hi. I building a new system with an intel E6400 core2duo. I understand they use less power than older chips. In a standard system ie. with 2x250g HHD, 2X dvd-rw, graphics card, case fan, will the standard 350w supply than comes with alot of new cases be powerful enogh or should I buy a more powerful one, and how powerful?
many thanks.

Hi, 350w should be enough, although i would recommend buying a new psu mainly because the ones you get with cases can be cheap and unreliable. By the way are you going to be using a PCI-E graphics card? If you are then make sure you have an adapter as the PSU that will come with the case will more than likely not have the correct connectors. If you buy a new one check it supports PCI-E.
