I have been meaning to take the drive out and use it in my pc for backups.
I have been told that its not worth it, its a slow HDD its only 40gb blah blah blah but this sky box has 80gb stamped all over the box and a sticker on the actual sky box also has an 80GB sticker on the bottom.
But i took out the drive anyway and to my surprise its a Seagate 160GB IDE ATA100 drive!
In the PC it went and after a format its all working and it is a 160gb and its quite nippy with an avg read of 78mb/sec so im well pleased ^^
But why does the sky box say its an 80 when its really a 160?
Virgin Media 20Mb
