Netgear DG834G v4 issue

Hi
After installing this router today I am experiencing a horrible problem trying to play online games
The server browsers in these games do not respond as normal, they are extremely slow and only find very few servers for me.
In the game itself, although my ping does show as being low and quite stable, there is horrible delay after certain actions I do. I see other people hovering around stuttering everywhere.

Is anybody aware of these type of problems with this router? I really need a fix for this, can anyone help me please?
I have updated to the latest firmware 5.01.14 have tried changing a few settings in the router but nothing seems to help frown

Fixed this by rerolling back to the earlier 5.01.09 firmware.
