I am looking for a good, reliable, Wireless 'G' PCI network card for a PC to connect to my home wireless network. I have tried a couple of USB devices but they were both slow to connect with flakey connections.
The PCI card I have has had the antenna broken off (don't ask!) but was a pain anyway as it would quite often show a strong connection but there would be no access to the internet. This was an intermittent and unpredictable problem.
The existing one was a Belkin 'value' unit. One thing I noticed was that the driver provided did not seem to match the actual device, and there were no updates available.
Personally I would prefer a little permenantly on, self powered bridge with one ethernet socket - but nobody seems to make those any more. You can get big, 4 port ethernet switch / bridge combinations, but not a small single port one. Ho hum...
Any suggestions?
