Refurbished PC's advice needed

Very keen on an Acer Aspire M3201 from Acer Direct, but un certain of the company due some serious negative reviews about late arrival, A1 quality that was A2 or B quality etc.

The exact model has an AMD Phenom 9550 x4 2.2ghz processor, VHP, 2gb ram, a Nv 9500GS & 3mth warranty. PC is about 14mths old and was sold via Tesco, from what I can gather those that have it are pleased. I have a budget of £300 ivno

I have looked elsewhere for refurbished Acer's and only Dabs seem to have any on offer, but they only have a 1 month warranty and don't have the same model, otherwise Dabs would get my order!

Questions for me are as the main Acer site directs me to ACER direct, I assume they are approved by Acer? and if I should avoid Acer Direct and use Dabs what should I get instead? And should grade A1 have a full guarantee since they are as new?

Surpised Morgan are still in existance. I remember they had a shop on the Hagley Rd in Birmingham - I always thought wow, one day I can get one of those nice IBM PC's they always seemed to have 20 yeears ago! Instead I bought a Dell 6 yrs ago and that was a sort of a mistake....
Now rather than making another mistake, I have found a PC (made in the UK) manufacturer that has nothing but positive reviews. For the same price as a 17mth old Acer; I'm getting a new PC with a yrs warranty. It may have an intergrated gpu, but that isn't the end of the world with 4 expansion slots.

I've been a happy customer of Morgan for a number of years, for refurb HP PCs, cameras, and other oddments (latest purchases a few days ago: a USB christmas tree and a cheap GPS, seeming satisfactory so far).

They do advertise lots of Acer netbooks at the moment.

HOWEVER

This is not the same Morgan as it was a year ago. Unfortunately in November 2009 the original Morgan ceased trading, the shops closed (the Hagley Road one had already moved to not far from Merry Hill), and only the only bit still trading is the online bit, which was purchased by Bentham Ltd (owners of IJT Direct amongst others).

They might be perfectly decent new owners, but it isn't the same owners as it was previously.

Not very good selection of PC's & all not very good spec wise either.

I have had to deal with Acer Direct - it was a horrific experience. Despatch dates missed, delays, sent to wrong address, offered credit did not arrive ... to many issue to cover each individually.

I will NEVER deal with them again.
