If it has rechargeable batteries in it they are possibly at the end of their life & not holding charge. Have you tried changing them?

The MX1000 has a charger cradle (which is also the receiver). I did originally think the battery in the mouse was going. Logitech state this is not replaceable, however you can change it (various guides will tell you which battery you need) and I did but it didn't make any difference.

I take it both the mouse and the receiver's 'optics' are clean and obstruction-free? Not likely, but you never know.

I bought my cordless Logitech MX Revolution about 3.5 years ago and have not had a single problem with it. That said, the batteries don't last as long as they used to (I am having to charge after about 4 days of heavy use as opposed to about 12 in the beginning).. Currently, I am thinking about getting another Logitech as their mice are incredibly comfortable to use. I am looking at the Performance Mouse MX.. Expensive, admittedly, but while I was looking at it I noticed that Logitech are doing a trade in on old products here meaning I can send in an old keyboard that I really dislike and get 20% off a nice new rodent.. smile

I have that Logitech Cordless Desktop® MX 5500 Revolution too. I preferred the Logitech Elite k/b and original lazer 1000 mouse.

Was looking at Logitechs Unifying software - it enables connecting 5 k/bs andor mice. Ill be using some older stuff, which I still have. Looking at my other charged right now, and a BETTER k/b than the Revolution one.

If you look at the Revolution mouse, nice, but I'm left-handed. crazy

Look at the Umifying software. I'm about to try it. Money saved. Maybe. laugh

IF your mouse light goes red after flashing green to charge, don't panic. Make sure the mouse is put in correctly, and STAYS flashing.

Does it make your mouse and keyboard go "Um"? grin

Trying to see the point of having multiple kbs and mice (multi-player games?).

Corrected typo. wink

Major reason for using the unifying s/w is that IF you still have an old k/b & or mouse, but have not got the Logitech BT dongle, it could maybe make them usable again?

Dunno, not bothered testing yet.
