Yup, Ive got that and about 19 variants argos have at the same price on the list. 2 year warranty at JL is prob the winner though...

Also LENOVO G575 320GB HD, 4GB Ram dual core AMD, 64bit Win 7. £299.

Best of luck with your choice - I do like the Scan deals though because their technical support is really excellent should it ever be needed.

Edit: coincidentally just got a mailshot from Scan http://www.scan.co.uk/products/156-asus-x52f-ex580v-... - needs more RAM though smile

ended up with the £299 Lenovo from PC World.

Dual-core AMD C-50 processor
Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Memory: 4GB
Hard drive: 320GB

I have a Lenova, very solidly built laptops and no problems so far with mine had it for just over 3 years
