Last time I put a bit of oil on the spindle and that cured it but it must have dried out.

Not sure how that worked as the spindles are sealed.

Very thin oil called Triflow with Teflon might have gone down the spindle.

Not really i suggestion but i changed the fan in my old Hiper PSU for a Noctua fan, it was really simple, just don't touch owt in it, the capacitors are chunky.


Funny enough I replaced a Hiper 500w with this Corsair PSU, still have the Hiper but it is a PIA to get in the case with the motherboard in.

Well, it has stopped making a rattling sound. I thought has the fan failed completely, but on inside inspection, the fan is still turning!
