Getting a second hand Radeon HD 6450

[link to this post]

My Nvidia GT710 is no longer getting driver updates under Linux. With the Linux kernel updates still continuing and every kernel update requires a driver rebuild and patch for the 470.xx branch of Nvidia drivers for each revision of the kernel most distros are dropping support for the 470 driver.

So I have ordered a Radeon HD 6450 which I am assured just works under Linux. Anyone have any experience with the Radeon under Win 10 32 bit? I have downloaded drivers ready for the card to go in when it arrives but will win 10 boot and load an appropriate driver. I have a dual Linux/Win 10 setup.

Without the correct driver Windows should boot in low-resolution mode using a generic VGA driver. You can then install the driver.

Apparently the Radeon 6450 has trouble with higher resolutions (1600x900) according to the one I have received and the AMD forum where others have posted about it. According to the specs it should be good on DVI for 2560x1900 but the one I have just locks up. Dodgy card or something more by design?
