Wow! So the reason is that all the memory are belong to AI. So, presumably, we consumers are not going to get memory for our computers to ask anything of this AI.

If there is a market then some other manufacturer will fill the gap. Probably Samsung for SSDs and RAM. I have bought a number of Samsung SSDs in the past few years; l can’t remember a time when I thought Crucial a better choice.

Once upon a time if you bought a PC it would be made by IBM or Compaq. The market is still healthy without them.

All things must pass.

Oh well, the only problem is that it may increase prices of ram even more.
I don't normally buy Crucial stuff, mainly Corsair, but I do have a Crucial 4TB NVMe in the Dock connected to my Mac.

don't use ai, avoid the google, samsung and amazon bots if you can.

It really is simple as that.

samsung have moved 1.5 lines over from nand to dram. Some have suggested these were older lines /small capacties but still contrains supply.

Some are also suggesting large companies are hording ssds and memories. if that is the case, then the ai bubble will burst - very quickly.
