How long to go live

Hyperoptic installed their cables in my building about 2 months ago, and we are still waiting for the system to go live.
How long does it normally take to get a building live and start taking orders to install?

Hi, sorry this is a late reply. Don't know if you have gone live yet. However, on our experience, you may have a long wait. Our block of flats was fibred by Hyperoptics in December 2020. BT OR only connected us up in November 2021. Then they had to commission/test and with Christmas, installations were delayed so we get connected tomorrow. - so a 13 month wait.

Still better than BT I have been waiting 11 years for them to do anything. I have an exchange only line and get 8/0.8 Mbps on a good day.

Hi! Sorry for such a late reply. Generally speaking, it takes a bit longer than a year to make a site live. There is a lot of paperwork, planning, and needed approvals. It is not always up to us and we sometimes face delays because of holidays, Building Management not being cooperative, and so on. Rest assured that it is in our best interest to have as many live sites as possible and that we're working on it. Thank you for the patience and we hope to see you with us soon!

Still waiting for our building to go live after being wired up in January, so easily 4-5 months.
