Shame about that, some people are too easily swayed by information that is out of date and what "knowledgable" freinds and relatives tell them. They should really investigate the so called problems themselves, or at least thier solicitors and surveyors should. Lenders and Insurers should be better informed as well. It's time they put their customers first.

Lenders and insurers don't want to take risks. I've even had contents insurance declined by some companies because of the subsidence, repaired more than three years ago now. Structurally, the house was never a risk, ie no shoring, no under-pinning etc.
