Netgear Nighthawk X6 - £149 not the cheapest but well specified device
Netgear routers with USB (i.e. ReadyShare) should work with Time Machine they have an article on setting it up
Out of interest if I bought one of these, or for that matter any other router with a USB port, what format would a memory stick need to be? My guess is that it would be exclusively MS-DOS FAT and that none of them would recognise one formatted in Apple HFS+ still less the newer APFS.

Reason I ask is that I use one of the last of the Apple Airports with a USB stick plugged in for convenience in transferring files. If I used one formatted other than HFS+ any metadata (EG Apple file tags, or custom folder icons) is lost.
