Can someone help with my settings?

[link to this post]

I have just been migrated to IDnet and they gave me the username and password to enter into the router. Unfortunately these do not work and the customer services shuts at 5.30.

Can someone tell me if I need to change other settings in my netgear?

I have migrated from Plusnet if thats any help.

TIA

Hi,

You shouldn't need to do much. I migrated from PN earlier this year, too.

Make sure you've added the '@uk.idnet.dsl4' at the end of your username. Also, set 'DNS address' to 'Get automatically from ISP'. Finally, make sure you've added the static ip which is given in the email.

Nothing else to do, I think. Have you recieved a mail from IDNet regarding migration completion?

I have the username correct, but they did not send an email with anything I had to call them up. So i do not have an ip address :-(

Cheers, No one there. My login details are correct because I tried them on the idnet site.

This is what I get from the router

Time 00:00:00
Connecting to Server Failed
Negotiation LCP down.
Authentication CHAP authentication failed

Wecome to Idnet.

The following may help you if you haven't already been there: -

Go to Idnet web site and click on Customer Account login then log in with the user name and password you have been given.
Click on broadband on the right hand menu the select broadband settings you will then see all the settings you require.

hope the above is of some use to you.

Sheltie

I have tried that login and it takes me to the account details so the username and password are right. I have entered all the settings but its still the same :-/
