Well, after putting up with the three incarnations of my last ISP now named after a fruit that is named after its colour, I finally took the plunge, got my MAC code and migrated over here to IDNet.
And the process was completely painless...
For a number of months if not a year the previous ISP emailed me offering a free upgrade to a 2Mbps pipe, but every time I enquired to get the upgrade fro 1Mbps to 2Mbs I was told my line could not support 2Mbps.
Lo and behold, IDnet's migration put me straight on to 2Mbps. 1-0 to IDNet!
I migrated away from O***nge because mainly the tech support has just gone completly downhill. I had a problem recently which got bounced around their call centres and I was finally told to replace my router. The problem happen at peak time and was always rectified (by itself) by the morning. I put it down to contention or over subscription to their dynamic gateway - they put it down to my router. On their advice I bought a new router at
