Stupid question coming.

[link to this post]

Is idnet my network administrator?
I am unable to send emails and have received a couple this morning that came in yesterday.
My idnet daily digest has stopped coming also. I'm told to contact my network administrator.
Help!

This is almost certainly an error message generated by your email client, the administrator it refers to is you. What email client are you using and is anyone else having the same issues.

BTW there is only one stupid question in my books and that is the question that is never asked

Oh John! Stupid answer coming.
I don't understand. I have a domain and I get emails forwarded from there. Is that the administrator?
Thanks for answering.

No John! I get it forwarded from my domain.
I noticed that I got an email this morning to my idnet address but nothing from my domain address.
Thanks for your patience.

So you are using outlook to read your mail?

I was using O.E until this morning then I thought that maybe that was the trouble so I changed to Thunderbird but no more joy!

You need to check your account settings in thunderbird/OE first.

If I presume correctly and your domain address is being forwarded to you idnet account, check with cs to see if it is being subject to spam filtering

Also try this:

Open the command prompt window and type the command: ipconfig /flushdns

If there is any stale dns info on you machince, this should clear it. Re boot afterwards
