Must say this isp looks good. But can it sustain an influx of people without introducing throttling on p2p/usenet or bringing in some other forms of limits in 'the future'

Hard to say. Idnet appears to be quite popular at the moment and it depends on how every one uses their account. If central capacity gets soaked up, then a decision has to be made on whether to install additional expensive central capacity, about

Thanks for that. One question.Do Idnet or will they be implementing traffic shaping on news or p2p? I have never downloaded more than 10gb in a month but when I do I want it at a decent speed? Not 8oK throttled! like nildram.

Thanks

Have to say when I use the adsl guide comparison tables with most of the other ISP's in the running.Idnet comes top every time in everything.Speed/reliabilty/support et al.

So transferring from my current ISP (NILDRAM) using my existing prestige 630 modem (hope that aint a problem) once I struggle to get my mac, should be straight forward...yes?One other question. I origionally had a 2mb with nilpex, then when I moved home recently (and paid

Best bet is to contact IDnet re the payment question. You are on a one month rolling contract and only have to give 30 days notice. I see this as a much better option than paying 6/12 months in advance.

Think your right.I'll give Idnet a ring.I dont see a problem to be honest with Idnet. The problem is the transfer over from nildram. Also I suspect I need to work out the best dates giving consideration for this 30 day thing.Dont really want to be paying two isp's due to nildrams incompetance.
cheers

ReReg

Understand completely about your timing issue too as it happened to me migrating in from F2Shaft...Call CS and explain your timings...they gave me a date based around the time needed for the migration to go and on the working week too...worked perfectly and I had no overlap on payment.

Good bunch here...good choice IMO
