Re: Well impressed.......so far...but

I'd be happy with a 15gb allowance provided with a reasonable speed on my news servers.Not 80K! which is what my current isp has decided to give me!The most Ive ever used is probably about 10gb and my average is much lower!!I think alot who are thinking of a change are doing so not because they want to download day and night.But want a reasonable all around service.Its a shame companies don't reward loyalty and sensible use by reduced costs!And penalise the real 24/7 leechers (in nildrams case all 700 of them!)

I think the problem is that people use the service they pay for for all different kinds of things and quite rightly they are with in their rights to do so as the companies who supply the service general say "24/7 unlimited for only

Agreed

But unfortunately some company's like to blame the few which affects the whole.Instead of addressing the real problem.They just can't provide what they advertise!! I'm wondering how much company expansion has to do with it and greed v lack of investment.

Id like to see a comparison of ISP'S customer numbers/proportion investment.I don't know how big IDNET is say in comparison to nildram or any of the others out there.Why for instance does IDNET seem to be managing a pretty good service like nildram used to be and indeed a few others.What is the point where they cease to be any good and what causes it.

It seems all too common for ISP's to slide.Hopefully this wont be the case with IDNET in the future?Especially as they are definately in the running for my next ISP!

It's the term "unlimited" that is both misused and misunderstood. The ISP's who advertise Unlimited should really state that it is unlimited connection and not unlimited use, that would then clear the problems up. I can't understand why people want to download for 24 hours and 7 days a week, it makes no logical sense to me at all.

In reply to IDNetuser;

"I hope they leave it as it is we don\'t want an influx of leeches coming to IDNet".

"The 30GB is set just right IMHO".

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was only asking the question in that other ISP's have higher caps - didnt realise you had the local shop for local people mentality - I hope you get your refund from the charm school.

Comments like didnt realise you had the local shop for local people mentality and I hope you get your refund from the charm school lead me to suspect that the maker of those comments is taking things a touch too seriously...

Your mileage may vary [shrug]
