Problems resolving to UK domains

[link to this post]

Hi,

Anyone else having problems this evening, especially connecting to UK websites. Google.com works fine, but anything .co.uk fails to load. frown

**update - 5 times now, can only clear it with a router reboot blush

Thanks

Yes indeed, i've also seen intermittent DNS (IDNet DNS) problems this evening on a couple of occasions.

each time it cleared without any reboot or PPP drop from my router..

I've been seeing this all week. If anything it seems to be getting more frequent.

At least it is not just me I suppose. Still I had a great ping of 190 to a TF2 server earlier, got booted for it too frown

Same here, all week, it is getting a bit annoying now, I hope they sort it soon.

Seen it occasionally and intermittently on a range of domains, not just .co.uk. Wait a few minutes and it's OK gain. Mostly.

Keep getting logged out of webmail too frown.

Having the same problem too today on a range of domains also. Seems to sort itself out after a couple of minutes as others have already said.

Hi yep me as well if this proves to be another problem of the recent work/upgrade then it might be worth a look elsewhere.

Guys

At my age I'm still trying to figure out what the heck DNS is! That said, three times this evening I haven't been able to open any website but yet my email is OK. If I wait about 5 minutes I can then access my favourite pages again.

Is that the DNS problem you are writing about here?

Regards,

Bill

I'm getting problems too.

I'm tempted to just set BIND up on my file-server I have here, to avoid having to use IDnet's DNS servers.

There's always openDNS as an alternative...
