Ongoing routing issues

[link to this post]

Anybody else still experiencing routing or DNS issues on IDNet?

Several times yesterday, and again this morning, internet access to any site got frozen for 5 minutes or so at a time, even though our line was correcly connected to the local exchange.

Yes. Seems to be telehouse-gw4-lo2.idnet.net (i.e. my first hop after my router) where it all stops. Currently can't access the Visa Europe site (even though I was browsing it a minute ago!).

Enquiries made:
IDNet are tweaking their network to prevent the possibility of router overload as happened yesterday. The work will cause shorts bursts of apparent DNS issues, but will be completed by lunchtime.

This is disappointing, many, many sites, including idnet.net appear to have yet more routing issues this morning,
anyone else?

We had a problem with a new router this morning. The vendor is investigating.

Very frustrating, my work VPN is also now quiet regularly quitting at about midday (especially annoying as I've about 10 layers of security to go thru every time it fails), will consider options at the end of month if things don't improve..
