Stil a problem here with outages the last two nights. Only another ten days to put up with Zen.

I've seen nothing like that via Zen's backhaul that IDNet have us on. There was blip at around 2:30am with some packet loss so I guess that's them load balancing again!

There has been an ‘incident’ with one of Zen’s Suppliers with a major failure in that supplier’s core network. Was down here for about 5 hours but coming back now. It did take Zen far too long to put something on their own status page though. Normally Zen have been really reliable. They are upgrading parts of their network in the next few days according to their service announcement pages.

I have noticed significant swings in the latency since they moved our POP from Luton to Milton Keynes though. It now varies from 7ms up to more than 20ms and ports 23 and 24 on broadband PoP: nge001.mil-re0 are far less stable. Ports 21 and 22 are usually the 7ms pair. If I was doing network management I would want to be looking at the situation, but according the Zen Support that swing is ‘acceptable’.

Swing doesn't usually involve conductors, and the best is rarely orchestrated.

If you think yours is congested take a look at my BMQ, I am the cause of the congestion I got a text from the guy next door as when i use my connection his tends to drop out but thats Virgin Media for you, 400 gigs of 4K raw video downloading straight from onedrive from a gig Saturday to Sunday morning. My team have been uploading it from all over huntingdonshire. So far downloaded about 1TB of footage.

By the way i meant "I am the cause of the congestion" not literally although in my area it is literal.

Many Thanks,

Looks [censored] latency from VM. Dumped their rubbish mobile a month back. Rubbish now after switching networks for price and a race to the bottom.
