Earliest I can start migration?

[link to this post]

So my contract ends with Zen on the 20th September and I've decided to try IDNet next. What is the earliest I should get my migration order placed? I notice on IDNet's website it mentions a 10 day lead time on all orders. So would I want to order on the 10th or possibly sooner?

For anyone interested, I decided to place my order today. Selected the OTS option which matched with my existing provider at my address and I got the email informing me there was no early termination charge, I then left a note in the order explaining when my contract was up and when I'd like the install date to be.

This is the first time I've started a migration with the OTS, I'm liking it. So far so good.

There may still be a 30 day notice period that will appear in your final bill with old provider.

This is part of the reason I was asking as I wanted a seamless transition when my contract ended if possible. I did see the 30 day notice period in an email I got from Zen but when I did some internet searches on the subject I get conflicting information. I've had the AI generated answer say the 30 day notice does and doesn't apply with OTS, but the sources it references do not discuss it.

I guess I will find out soon enough.

Update:

So I got an email from IDNet and Zen, informing me the switch will be going ahead on the 22nd. So thats 20 days from when I've made the request and 2 days after my contract ends. I guess since the 20th fell on a Saturday, it might be why the install date is the first business day. My final bill is £3.20. The only thing I'm a little disappointed about is the £50 charge to keep my router should I not choose to return it within 14 days of receiving the return bag. This is another example of AI based search not returning accurate information. *sigh*

Migration went smoothly. At 1am my router lost connection to Zen, so I put in my IDNet username/pass and immediately I was up and running. I've been using my old WRT32X for the past couple of weeks which is fine at 300Mb but it can't handle 1Gb download speeds unfortunately. The most I've seen with that router is 600Mb down 850Mb up. I tried plugging in my Zen provided FRITZ!Box 7530AX and immediately the speedtests shot up to 910Mb down 910Mb up, so I'm on the lookout for a new router.

My latency moving from Zen to IDNet has dropped about 6-7ms on average for most servers, which is in line with what I was predicting.
