There was a way to persuade iTunes to put the music out to the Airport Express and the visualiser out to the AppleTV...

Just been listening to Pavane from Faure's Requiem... it would be awesome on a big screen smile

I think something like Airfoil will be the first to offer this, but they don't yet as far as I know.

Not wanting to hijack the thread, but I'd like to be able to stream iTunes to my USB Soundsticks via an Airport Express, which I can't do... According to the relevant KB.

It wasn't really a thread, just a spur-of-the-moment post after a most enjoyable evening relaxing with music and a few drinks tongue.

I suspect we both want the same thing really- that Apple would open up the AEX and ATV interfaces frown

If there was a visualiser plugin for the appletv then that would solve the problem as you could stream music via that using the media browser doohicky I would assume. Not got an appletv so I don't know for certain....I'd pester apple to see whether it is something they are likely to do.
