I always find it amusing when computers are measured by the quantity of games software available to the platform, as if the number of explosions per second somehow indicates its importance.

DGet an iPad and you'll be able to read (flickery) books that Apple deign to allow you to - get a Sony eBook reader and the world is your oyster. I've got 170 books on my reader currently, and they were all free!


There are thousands of free books available for iphone using apps such as stanza, no doubt it will be the same for ipad.
