It's great it's finally here, but the difference between the Mac and PC version is profound at the moment due to the poor Mac graphics drivers which are being updated soon. How's your set-up doing for FPS on Portal? I'm getting betwen 20-30...

Not all the games are available on Steam for the Mac. It would've been nice, but sadly no.

I already have Portal and others too, but I haven't loaded that one yet. Will load it shortly. Using the PC atm...

Be back soon to post the Portal results for you.

They have said more are coming over (and if you have Portal/ Half Life etc on PC you will not have to pay again when they get ported).

Got quite a few games on Steam. Prefer to games that I don't need to replace discs, or even flick through lots discs / software ec.

There are far less conflicts if you have all the games on Steam on the computer. The games are always there no matter what system you use.

I forgot, I haven't put fraps in the Mac. Never noticed a benchmark utility in Portal?

Matters not.

Torchlight looks and plays good on the Mac. Fantastic game, and recommended too.

I don't play Games - well Dizzy Bee on the iPhone is about my limit - but I had to find out what this Steam is all about and discovered a little gem called Osmos. It makes a beautiful sound as my life form tries to join up with other life forms to become bigger and avoid being swallowed up by the larger, more threatening life forms. Magic Mouse is perfect for zooming around too! Lol
