iPhone Software V 4.0.2 Available

Plugged my iPhone into the computer to recharge and got a pop-up saying V4.0.2 was available.

It has been updated and is available via iTunes. Working fine of my 3G.

There can be problems with the iPhone 4.
It happened to me, as well as others.

OK... no probs. Misunderstood your reply.

Living in Scotland and travelling to the Highlands a lot I saw no advantage in upgrading to an iPhone 4 as coverage for the 3G is extremely limited frown Indeed... any form of mobile coverage is woeful to non-existent in some places I visit.

Heh, I know what you mean about 3G coverage. I'm in Glasgow and haven't been able to use it.

There IS plenty to upgrade for in the iPhone 4G. You should pop into <any> store and take a look at one. It's a superb piece of kit. Apple have done well with it. wink

You'll know what I mean when you see the differences.

I'm not upgrading until Apple bring out an update that makes my 3G usable again!

Never had an issue worth iOS 4 on my old 3G.

The update took ages (very long backup then update - well over two hours). I suspect a lot of people lost patience and terminated it incorrectly.

For the 3gs, iOS 4 added some nice features. It loaded here with no problems at all.

It's incredibly slow on the 3G. Loads of people have complained about it.

It's almost like the OS was made to run bad on the 3G to get people to upgrade.
