I prefer to leave updates until I've got plenty of time, that way I can be reasonably sure I won't need it
Doesn't seem to fix anything that I'm worried about anyway.

Same here on my MBP, never have any troubles with updates - bar growlmail gets broken everytime.

Installed. No issues.

Installed last night on iMac and MBP, no issues.
BT -> Zen -> F2S -> Bulldog -> Be*
Far too many computers, 1 Wife, 3 Maine Coons and too many horses

Installed just now on MBP #1 - was rather slow in the booting up - seemed to wait for quite a while to get all my desktop up .
Now to go and back up MBP #2 and then do it

I haven't got any historical benchmarks, but a few of my iMac apps that make heavy use of the display in full screen mode (Pinball, Fireplace, DoomsKnight and the Marine Aquarium screensaver) seem to be markedly "snappier", for want of a better word, than on 10.6.6.
Not sure about the iTunes visualiser.
It's the 27" display, running 2560 x 1440 and there's a second 22" display running at 1920 x 1080.
Anyone else seeing anything similar, or have an explanation if it's real?
Just to make it clear- I'm not complaining, just curious

I just looked for updates a short while ago, and I automatically loaded and updated the update.
All went well.
Checked the TBS there, and read this thread about it - didn't know that there may have been any possible issues?

didn't know that there may have been any possible issues? There very seldom are
I've had one that wouldn't install- must have been a corrupted download somehow, I just downloaded it again and it was fine.
I think it's just that we've (nearly) all come from/still have Windows machines, and we have to have something to worry about

didn't know that there may have been any possible issues? It happens. But in all the years that I've been updating OS X and Windows I've never hit a problem. Like you, I just apply updates and don't even think about it. (Mind, I always have my data backed up!)

I see - so I was right to just to trust my Apple update implicitly then? Yes - thought as much.
Kind of obvious really. No reason to doubt it either.
Hey, Bill, is your surname 'Gates' by any chance - You should not be even mentioning ANYTHING about 'Doze' in the glorious Apple Forum, ok? - I said OK?!
On you go Bill, there are places where you will be almost welcome, you know. It even has Issues in the title - THIS forum doesn't mean anything bad - it merely warns about the issues about fake-switchers!!
Enough of the joking. I've not been well lately, and was Mac-less for four days - I just do not need any negative Mac-Speak while I recover. OK?
Yes. Well then!

I shall do a full backup tomorrow to ensure things are kept up to date. It's always best to.

Hey, Bill, is your surname 'Gates' by any chance If it was, I wouldn't be driving a ten-year old car, even if it is a Jag XJR

Nice wheels, Bill.

It's a gorgeous car to drive, especially on long runs... costs a [censored] fortune to run though

Especially with the cost of fuel now. But what a way to drain the worlds resources.

But what a way to drain the worlds resources. I salve my (somewhat bent and battered) conscience with the thought that I cover <5,000 miles a year... and at my age I can see no reason why I shouldn't do it in comfort

A nice touch with the update - the Trash empties very quickly.
No small window appears telling you how much has been done.
Very fast, neat and tidy.
Lovely!
