Securely Wiping MBP HDD

Hi folks,

I am considering clearing my entire MacBook Pro's HDD to enable me to put in OS X Lion as a clean install. I would like all personal / private info totally eradicated from this Computer. (I have my reasons).

Q: Why is this I hear you say?
A: There is a new love in my life says I, or at least - there will-be - Hopefully!

I did this for a clean install of Lion on my 2011 MBP - I created the Lion DVD from the downloaded DMG using these instructions:

A USB stick is much faster than a DVD.

My MBP has an SSD drive, so I didn't do the overwriting

Also EXTREMELY excellent, more so as I have a good 64GB USB stick just waiting. Yummy!
