Jobs going at Apple

Resigned as CEO (Cook steps up tot eh job he's been doing for months and has done before).

Stays chairman.

So the day has come. One of the most inspirational CEO's in history has had to resign no doubt due to ill health. He saved Apple from the abyss and had made it one of the most valuable and innovative companies ever seen. He brought us the iMac, macbook, iPhone, iPad, OS X, iOS and of course the iPod. His drive for perfection is legendary and this has made Apple one of the most valuable brand names. He's still the chairman but I hope he can concentrate on his health and his family now.

Screamingly obvious that his stamina is not there anymore, but as long as the brain is running I think he will keep his oar in quite effectively.

Also, of course, product lead times are such that huge change is unlikely in this fiscal year.

He doesn't strike me as the "gone fishin'" type.

Apparently, the new CEO is selling their hardware division and moving them into the replacement ink cartridge market..

A master of style, branding and marketing over substance then. A pioneer of computing devices that proudly declare that form > function, efficiency or price.

He was right of course.... in a purely business sense.

You, sir, are able to distinguish opinion from Trolling.

I'm a troll because I have an opinion on Apple devices? I think not.

I may not like the devices myself but I do appreciate the phenomenal success they've had.
