Transferring photos from Android to iPad

[link to this post]

My wife & I both have Android phones, she also has an iPad. We can get photos from phone to iPad but it's a laborious process and requires iTunes on a PC.

There is now an Android app from Apple to transfer files to iPads, etc. but it would seem it requires the iPad to have been setup at day 1 with the ability to receive Android files. This feature wasn't available when we got the iPad.

There seems to be some 3rd party apps that claim to enable the transfer. Anyone know whether they are any good, if so which ones? Clearly those that enable the phone to talk to the iPad via WiFi would be the most useful.

If itís just a few ... could you not just email them to yourself from the android device, then save them from the mail on the Mac ?

I use the free version of AirMore to transfer photos from an Android phone to iMac, works well.
