Does anyone know if Apple fill the two memory slots.. i've ordered the base model and plan to upgrade to 2GB or 4GB depending on the answer.

thanks.

It depends which model you are getting and how much standard memory it comes with.

For the price of memory today (use Crucial.com) I highly recommend you go for the max 4gb. It should only cost you about £50 or less!

Sorry I just realised you said the base model.

This comes with 1 x 1gb chip. If you ask Apple to upgrade it to 4gb they will charge you £147.00

If you buy the same memory from Crucial it will cost you £41.39.

To me this is a no brainer!
